DAWG – Dog Adoption & Welfare Group

On Sunday, October 28, 2018 DAWG will be hosting our fourth annual Wine for Wags fundraiser. We’re excited to announce our new venue: The Santa Barbara Carriage Museum. Mingle with friends old and new, enjoy music, a delicious meal, libations and a silent auction to benefit our DAWGs.

DAWG is a non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation, which operates solely on the generosity of our community. We support our dogs through funds gathered from donations, grants, sponsors, and fundraising events. Without your support we cannot continue with our life-saving work. DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

2017 marked DAWG’s 26th year of service to the dogs and families of Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas. Through the hard work, dedication, and generosity of wonderful volunteers and community members we have grown from literally nothing, to an amazing facility that has placed over 8,000 dogs into forever homes. We save lives every day. Without DAWG, hundreds, even thousands, of adoptable dogs would have died unnecessarily. Over the last 25 years we have built kennels, an office, a bathing station, isolation and quarantine areas, Little Dog Land, Happy Sutherlin’s Meet & Greet Garden, exercise yards, surgical rooms and a veterinary facility to help us care for our dogs and give them love and shelter while we find them their forever homes. We are currently seeking sponsors, food, wine and beer donors and donations for our silent auction.
