Basil’s Big Bash – Animal Shelter Assistance Program

The ASAP Cats mission seeks to save and serve the cats of Santa Barbara County, because we believe that cats are part of the family. Every year, Basil’s Big Bash raises more funds to support our mission than any other event we hold, and we owe it all to our amazing ASAP Cats community of cat lovers — where cats are family, too!

Fellow cat lovers and feline enthusiasts gather together to celebrate a night of dancing, dinner, and saving cats. In addition, the Bash hosts a Silent and Live Auction, guest speakers, and an opportunity to take a photo with ASAP Cats’ very own Basil!

This annual event is our largest fundraiser, raising over 20% of our operating costs. These costs directly impact the medical care of our cats, help keep cats with their families, and support both our internal and external programs dedicated to serving the cats of Santa Barbara County.

Every month we hold an adoption event and yard sale at our shelter (occasionally offsite). Please check our social media outlets and website for more information.

We are also increasing our outreach efforts and will be offering additional low-cost veterinary services to the community and their cats very soon, including free microchip clinics. Stay tuned for more!
